Corinne Schwaller is a postdoctoral researcher at the Institute of Social Anthropology at the University of Bern, Switzerland. For her PhD she investigated changing meanings of work and aspirational expectations of highly educated young adults in Barcelona in the context of a prolonged economic crisis.
Between 2014 and 2016 she was a visiting scholar at the University of Barcelona where she collaborated with the Research Group on Reciprocity, directed by Prof. Susana Narotzky. For this stay, she was awarded a Doc.Mobility fellowship of the Swiss National Foundation (SNF).
She studied Social Anthropology, History, and German as a Foreign Language at the universities of Bern, Fribourg, and Barcelona. Her research interests include anthropology of labour, precarity, meanings of work, gender, care work and social reproduction, and regimes of value and morality.
