Staff

Yu Sang is a PhD student in the SNSF-funded project Social Ocean Energy: A Social Learning Approach to Global Marine Renewable Infrastructures. Her doctoral research focuses on energy ethics and environmental justice during the negotiation, implementation, and development of marine renewable infrastructures in Taiwan. She is supervised by Prof. Jeanne Féaux de la Croix (University of Bern) and Prof. Hsin-yi Lu (National Taiwan University).

She holds a Research Master degree in Media Studies from the University of Amsterdam. Her master research explored more-than-human relations and deep-time mediation in Chinese ecological development through the lens of water. She completed her Bachelor of Science in Interactive Media Arts at New York University Shanghai, where she was involved in several research projects related to urban design and public art.

Her research interests lie at the intersection of environmental media, infrastructure studies, blue humanities, and energy anthropology.
